With each Battle Pass tier requiring 1,000 XP, without challenges, players would need to complete 20 games to reach the required amount of XP. With Halo Infinite’s previous system, players would only get 50 XP per match. Unsatisfied with this system, players have been begging for change, and 343 Industries have now taken another major step in rewarding players for their time. XP could only be earned through completing challenges, with 50 bonus XP awarded for each completed match. While the core gameplay has been adored by both new and long-time fans, players have taken issue with the Battle Pass progression system. Following on from some of the biggest games on the market, Halo Infinite has adopted the free-to-play model, using Battle Passes and paid cosmetics to bring in cash.
